Jonah Shallit is a PhD student at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore. His research interests include transnational literature in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, settler colonial studies, and theories of literary modernism. He is currently conducting doctoral research on the interconnection between planned language movements and utopian imagination in modernist literature.
