Jake Goetz
Jake Goetz is a poet and early career researcher based on the lands of the Gadigal people (Sydney, Australia). He has published three collections of poetry: meditations with passing water (Rabbit Poets Series, 2018), which was shortlisted for the 2019 Queensland Premier’s Award for a Work of State Significance; Unplanned Encounters: Poems 2015—2020 (Apothecary Archive, 2023); and Holocene Pointbreaks (Puncher & Wattmann, 2024). He has been the recipient of various fellowships and residencies for his writing and research, and his poetry has also been commended and shortlisted for various prizes. He holds a Doctor of Creative Arts in Writing and Literature from the Writing and Society Research Centre (Western Sydney University) and is currently a Research Fellow at the Rachel Carson Centre for Environment and Society in Munich, Germany.
