Irene Lucchitti

Irene Lucchitti completed her PhD at the University of Wollongong where she continues her research work as an Honorary Fellow. Her research, focusing on the intersections between Gaelic traditions and Irish writing in English, concerns itself largely with life-writing, issues of translation and with island studies. She continues to concentrate on the writers of the Great Blasket Island.
