Geoff Rodoreda

Geoff Rodoreda is a lecturer in the Department of English Literatures and Cultures at the University of Stuttgart, Germany. In an earlier life, he studied media theory and journalism in Sydney, and worked as a journalist at the ABC in Adelaide and Darwin before moving to Germany. He completed his PhD in Stuttgart in 2016. The resulting monograph, The Mabo Turn in Australian Fiction (Peter Lang, 2018), was awarded the Association for the Study of Australian Literature’s prize in 2019 for the best first book of literary scholarship on an Australian subject. His latest book, co-edited with Eva Bischoff, is Mabo’s Cultural Legacy: History, Literature, Film and Cultural Practice in Contemporary Australia (Anthem, 2021).
