Three Talks : David Malouf, Les Murray and David Rowbotham : David Malouf

Abstract

"I write, and have always written, both prose and poetry, and inasmuch as I think it's up to a writer to think of what he does as a whole piece of work, I prefer to talk about each of those things in relation to the other. I don't think a writer works or thinks in categories, like prose now, poetry another time. And of course a great many writers have worked equally in both fields."
