Abstract

Beckett contests John Greenway's claims about Aboriginal folk music (Australian Literary Studies, vol. 2, no. 3), arguing that 'n his haste to 'knock' everything within reach, Greenway has also mistaken the songs and the social milieu out of which they have come'.
