A Contribution to the Bibliography of Hal Porter

Abstract

As part of their series, Bibliographies of Australian Writers, the Libraries Board of South Australia published in 1966 a Bibliography of Hal Porter which attempts a comprehensive list of all items relevant to Hal Porter up to December 1965. Reviewing the Bibliography, Michael Wilding found minor faults of method, but the chief interest in his review for the student or researcher lies in the fact that he has checked the Bibliography with some care and recorded a number of omissions. From this point of view his article is an essential supplement to the South Australian Bibliography and, although some duplication has been unavoidable, no attempt has been made here to re-list the omissions he has noted.
